Park Rapids Family, Love and Fun

This weekend was filled lots of with family, love and fun! It was our annual trip up North to Park Rapids, MN where Tom's parents rent the most charming log cabin on Island Lake. It was absolutely amazing that Dan and Jess could join us all the way from Texas as well! Being around those two is a constant ab workout with all the laughs and smiles going around. I stinkin' love it! I'm so blessed to have two wonderful families.

The weekend went a little like this:

Campfires. Boating. Floating the Hay Creek. Boat Dogs Gabrador and Long Dog. Skiing. Zorbaz. Walker Casino. Singing in the Car(Garbanzo Beans--wink, wink!). Daytime Fishing. Midnight Fishing. Mini Golf. Batting Cages. Bark-a-Lounge. Dancing at the Bark-a-Lounge. Midnight Creek Floats. More Boating. More Floating the Hay Creek.

Mother Nature was pretty nice to us the whole weekend so most of our time was spent outdoors soaking in the sun rays and taking in the wonderful fresh air of the North. Ahhhhh, nothing better than that!!

But of course, no vacation lasts forever so we cruised our way on home in the Bonneville this evening. I now lay on this couch wishing that every weekend could be like that one but life must go on! Work. Laundry. Cleaning. You know how it goes!

Jess and Dan are leaving to go back to Texas tomorrow--Tom and I sure wish they lived here, it sure is hard to say goodbye. It's been fun, you two! We loved having you home and can't wait for the next time.

Until next time!
Brenda

On another note, sorry for the lack of photos lately. I've been really bad about not taking pictures w/ my camera. I need an excuse for a photo walk one of these days soon!

Hopefully pictures to come in the near future!

  1. Park Rapids!! Joe's parents have a cabin there on Potatoe lake. We go up there all the time, all year round. I LOVE PR. :)
