We started off our day with a rockin' good breakfast at the Herkimer. If you ever find yourself venturing out that way during the morning hours, I highly suggest the Breakfast Quesadilla. Simply mouth-watering, have-to-get-again delicious. Beware if you do though- there is definitely a heat factor that not that all would appreciate.
Afterwards, we explored a block off of Lyndale where we came across this awesome graffiti wall. I fell in love w/ the pop of colors. These pictures of Tom crack me up. He actually is quite hard to agree to be in pictures, but I insist having humans in images make it that much more interesting, so every once in a while- I get him to cooperate! Thanks, Tom, for being such a trooper in helping me explore my new found hobby. :)

Once we had our fix of exploring, the next stop was the Uptown Farmers Market. Unfortunately, it wasn't as big as I was anticipating but still refreshing to take in all scents and visuals of the of food and flowers.

Lastly, we headed off to Thomas Beach on Lake Calhoun to watch milk carton boat races, view the sandcastles of the Sandcastle contest, and people watch during the Aquatennial Beach Bash.

Uptown always refills my happiness bucket- absolutely love it.
Until next time!
Brenda
